Bridgepoint was created to provide support services that are consistent, respectful, and clearly communicated. Our work is guided by a commitment to person-centered support and thoughtful collaboration.

When delivering ODP waiver-funded services, Bridgepoint operates in alignment with applicable ODP standards, service definitions, and planning team direction. Services are provided within the authorized scope of the individual’s Individual Support Plan and coordinated to support meaningful outcomes.

Bridgepoint offers two distinct service pathways.

ODP Waiver-Funded Services
ODP services are delivered in accordance with the individual’s authorized Individual Support Plan and established Office of Developmental Programs guidelines.

Non-ODP Services
Bridgepoint also provides separate training and education services that are offered independently from ODP waiver funding. These services are not connected to ODP waiver documentation, authorization, or billing.

These service pathways remain distinct to ensure individuals, families, and teams clearly understand how services are structured and how each option functions.

Across all offerings, Bridgepoint maintains a person-centered approach that respects individual preferences, pacing, and approved guidance.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide supports that are respectful, clearly defined, and aligned with individual needs and preferences. We are committed to delivering services with consistency, transparency, and thoughtful guidance across all approved service pathways.

Our Approach

At Bridgepoint, our approach is grounded in person-centered practice, respect, and individualized support. We take time to understand each individual’s preferences, communication methods, and support needs through observation and collaboration.

For individuals receiving services funded through ODP waivers, service delivery is conducted in accordance with the individual’s authorized Individual Support Plan (ISP) and all applicable ODP regulations and requirements.

Bridgepoint also offers non-ODP training services for businesses, cheer programs, and dance teams. These services focus on staff education, disability awareness, and inclusive practices to support working effectively with individuals with disabilities. Non-ODP training services are educational in nature and are not individualized support services or ODP-funded waiver services.

Across all offerings, Bridgepoint maintains clear boundaries between ODP-funded services and non-ODP training programs while promoting respect, inclusion, and best practices.

Destinie Watkins

Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Destinie’s passion for this field began long before her professional career. Growing up, she watched her mother and grandmother care for her uncle, who had a disability, and saw firsthand how her mother supported individuals with diverse needs throughout her life. These early experiences introduced her to the importance of communication, dignity, and meaningful support. Meeting many individuals through her mother’s work shaped her understanding of what genuine connection and true respect look like.

Her personal background also taught her the value of perseverance and the importance of steady, meaningful support. These experiences strengthened her perspective and reinforced her commitment to helping people communicate with confidence and independence.

Her academic journey at Penn State provided the foundation for her work in communication support and helped guide the direction of her career. During this time, she began gaining experience in communication support and later completed a behavioral support internship that introduced her to functional skill development and person-centered practices. After graduation, she continued building experience in both behavioral and communication support for several months before moving fully into communication-focused work. Over the past six years, she has developed extensive experience across home, community, and program settings. These combined experiences confirmed that her long-term passion and strengths are rooted in communication.

A period of reflection brought clarity and purpose and inspired her to build something of her own that was grounded in empathy, professionalism, and strong values. That vision became Bridgepoint Support Services, an agency created to deliver communication support with care, consistency, and meaningful outcomes.

Today, as CEO, she leads with a person-centered, ethical, and steady approach that aligns fully with ODP standards. She continues to deepen her knowledge and guide Bridgepoint’s development while maintaining a strong commitment to helping individuals be heard, understood, and supported in their daily lives.
